  1. Tony and Chelsea, I LOVE you guys.  I enjoy these videos and I have your Stunning Photography book.  Suggestion: Buy a compressor for Justin to use for these live shows. As sometimes you talk very low and then other times there are peaks in energy, your audio levels are all over the place.  Too much distortion at the high volume, too. Thanks for considering.

  2. +Tony Northrup +Chelsea Northrup  Rather than a portfolio website, I'd really like to submit a Flickr set for critique and just have a critique of the images themselves. Would you guys be up for that? I'd really appreciate it.

  3. First, happy new year! A good friend knows I'm into cameras as so I thought that I know someone who's even more into photography! She is looking for a compact that's good for landscape, macro and shoots in RAW. What would you recommend?

  4. "Karl Lagerfeld is a German fashion designer, artist, and photographer based in Paris. He is the head designer and creative director of the fashion house Chanel"

  5. What are your thoughts on Rokinon, samyang, or bower wide angle lenses you should really do a review on a couple it's hard to find good reviews on YouTube about them 🙁

  6.   Great video as always.  Instant film options are still around.  For a no fuss approach try fuji instax cameras. They come in two formats,a credit card size and a "wide" version which is a bit like the old polaroid spectra.  Great colours and predictable results.  I have had much better results then you were able to get from impossible project 600, spectra and sx70 films.  Colours are muted though compared to the old polaroid and current instax film.      The other hidden gem is the the fuji "crack and peel" films for the type 100 polaroid cameras.  These are the older cameras from the 60s and 70s where you peel apart the film once it is done to reveal the image.  Fuji still make film for these old cameras and the quality is very high.  If you still have you RB67 or RZ 67 from Mamiya you can get a polaroid back which will give great instant results with these fuji films. Good luck.

  7. +Tony Northrup You know what video I would love to see you guys make.  Using professional printing services. I just found a new one (Miller's, not affiliated in any way) and compared to some other places they blow everyone out of the water.  They had me upload test images and they printed and overnighted the prints to demonstrate their services which include color correcting.  They also included little sample cards of every type of paper that they offer.  I think it is important for the professional to find a printing company that they can trust to deliver quality to the client.  I don't see it often talked about how even something like paper choice and finishing can make a difference.  Also what kind of print should you be delivering for which client.  Obviously a luster print does not work for everyone.  So please, what kind of paper would you choose for say a wedding vs. a fine art print, and what sizes should be in your portfolio. Thanks.

  8. Wondering if you guys have checked out the Fuji Instax printer. You pair it with your phone via wifi and can print photos anywhere on the Instax film. If only camera manufacturers could get together and have the printer talk directly to the phone, but at least with wifi on both you can copy photos to the phone, then print.

  9. Tony, i want to get a point n shoot camera since I have a dslr mostly for selfies and when I don't want to carry around my dslr. I was looking at Sony, which has the beauty mark feature which I think is great. Any types you would recommend?

  10. I noticed that you rave about the 4k video in the GH4 and it even looks like your videos are recorded in 4k.  Though I realize 4k is not practical for a "Live" broadcast, please consider 4k and 1440p options in the videos that are uploaded to your channel. Most of the good channels(MKBHD, LinusTechTips) are already doing this.

  11. For a nice high resolution portfolio would you recommend SmugMug instead of Squarespace? I know you're sponsored by Squarespace, but do you think would you be able to make a comparison video between the two?
    Your show is great!

  12. Good episode, had fun in the live comments, maybe because i was drinking every time you cropped something.
Now do a video about shooting outside in the winter!!
Merry Christmas you three (okay…you too, Siobhan) See you in January.
